Even a few rolled up towels add to the spa-atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Little Savage Life’s Vikki puts more accessible items

Fitbit’s Versa 2 small improvements add up to big results

The Versa 2 is mostly a sidegrade from the Versa, but it all adds up to the best all-around fitness wearable for $180.

Fitbit’s Versa 2 isn’t a huge upgrade from the original — in many ways it’s just a modest “sidegrade” — but it still brings nothing but improvements. A year ago I called the original Versa “the best fitness tracker and wearable you can buy right now.” A lot has changed since then, including Apple’s dramatically improved Watch Series 4 and Series 5. But does The Fitbit Versa 2 still have what it takes?

I’ve spent the last two weeks with the Versa 2 and being a hardcore Fitbit fan and gym-goer I have some thoughts about it. Find out why despite its flaws as a true smartwatch, it’s still one of the best wearables for most people.

When the Fitbit Versa 2 launched, it started at $200.

Scientists track down a protein that may add to lung damage in asthma and related diseases

A step toward helping patients breathe deeply
A protein called TL1A drives fibrosis in several mouse models, making it harder for lungs and airways to function normally. Credit: La Jolla Institute for Immunology

Your lungs and airways need to be stretchy, sort of like balloons. Take a big breath, and they’ll open right up.

Damaged lungs can’t open properly. Patients with asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and systemic sclerosis suffer from fibrosis and tissue remodeling, where a build-up of tissue and immune cells, and proteins that form a glue-like substance, keep the airways from expanding. As fibrosis gets worse, taking a breath feels like blowing up a balloon filled with concrete.

In a new study, researchers at La Jolla Institute for Immunology (LJI) report that a protein called TL1A drives fibrosis in several mouse models, triggering tissue remodeling, and making it harder for lungs and airways to function normally.

“Our new study suggests that TL1A and its receptor

Add Style in a Colorless Kitchen

Simplistic

Simplistic designs are as hot as these colors are now. For example, grey shaker cabinets offer a simply style that will compliment a modern look without appearing too flashy. Homeowners that want to stick with these colors should go with this style to make a modern kitchen shine more than ever.

For inspiration, look back on the Shaker movement. This is when the cabinets became more popular than ever, but that is not all that was created. The Shaker movement consisted of all kinds of chairs, etc. based on the belief that less is more. Merely browsing through pictures from the Shaker movement will help give anyone ideas on how to add style while maintaining simplicity.

Contrast

Contrast is the perfect way to spice up anything. For example, painting a delicate white flower on the door of grey cabinets is an affordable way to add elegance. For homeowners that … Read More

Add Value to Your Home With a Garage Floor Epoxy Coating

To sell a home today requires every edge possible. Remodeling the garage is an inexpensive way to get the edge. When a prospective buyer opens the garage door seeing a nice floor, cabinets and wall organization shelving they get excited. The house has credibility giving the prospective buyer confidence that the home is solid.

Start With A High Performance Coating

There are lots of options available. You may have seen kits available at home improvement stores. Don’t be fooled by the nice labeling on the box with a nice yellow or red car sports car. Inexpensive epoxy paint doesn’t have the capability to perform on most concrete floors. Moisture which is in every piece of concrete is continually emitting a vapor and pushes salts to the surface. This is what causes chipping and demanination. It’s caused by capillary pressure or in extreme cases hydrostatic pressure.

The inexpensive coatings are very … Read More
